Growing up in Glasgow, Jasper James was raised in one of the nation’s brightest music scenes. His father, DJ Harri, was a legendary resident of Sub Club, one of the city’s most respected clubs. So as you can imagine, Jasper has been around records and turntables his entire life.
We linked up recently with Jasper at London’s Phonox nightclub, where he currently DJs every weekend, for a glimpse at the records that have most influenced his DJ career. From Didier Sinclair and Daddy’s Favourite to Moodyman, it’s an eclectic and brilliant mix. Watch above, and be sure to go watch the man himself spin records at The Social Festival on September 9-10.
